ANTI-VACCINE SEAMEN.
FINED FOR DISOBEYING ORDERS. By Telaera.Eh—Press Association—Oopyrljht (Rec. September 16, 8.35 p.m.) Sydney, September 16. Following a precedent set in previous cases, the magistrate sentenced to seven days' imprisonment two seamen from the steamer Suffolk, for disobeying tlio captain's lawful command that they should be vaccinated, though ho expressed some doubt as to the legality of the proceedings, notwithstanding tbo ship's articles.
SEVEN MORE CASES. (Rec. September 17, 0.10 a.m.) Sydney, September 16. Seven more cases of smallpox were reported to-day. Tlie total vaccinations at Government depots numbered 203,000. One Government Department supplied seven smallpox cases in a fortnight. Tho Government will introduce a Compulsory Vaccination Bill to-day.
