TETANUS IN ROAD DUST.
UNSEEN PERIL OF THE HIGHWAY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright "Times"—Sydney "Sun" Special Cables. (Itec. September 10, 7.35 p.m.) London September 10. Sir James Crichton-Browno, speaking at the Sanitary Congress, which is being held at Llandudno, said that road dust was one of the chief causes of tetanus (lock-jaw). Ho condemned the proposal to teach children to avoid tho dangers of the road. "Tho onus," ho said, "rests with motorists. No skeddadlo rules would quicken tho movements of hapless brats startled by tho bogie-man in the motorcar."
