CANON CARLAND AND THE "SCHOOL JOURNAL."
Sir, —In your issuo of to-day a sentence in m.v letter on tho above subject reads: ". . . this portion of tho sketch contains a big account of Mohammed's life, etc." Possibly the word "big"-is there through carelessness of in inc. It is unfortunate. This wonderful "four-page' article." contains loss than a. Pago and a half of text relating to .Mohammed's life, character, teaching, influence, conquests, etc. Half a. page is taken up by a wood cut illustrating Mohammed's welcome at- Medina. Tho rest of the articlo is given to a very brief sketch of Mohammedan conquest after the founder's death, and to a wood cut of modern Mecca. —I am, etc., H. B. KlliK. Wellington, Soptombor 8, 1013.
