UPPER HUTT COURT.
A sitting of the Uppor Hutt Police Court was held yesterday. Dr. A. M'Arthur, S.M., presiding. , Charles Green and Hayward Smith wero jointly charged with using objectionable language and with behaving in a disorderly manner. Mr. J. Fitzgibbon, who appeared for both defendants, entered a plea of guilty. Each offender was fined 40s. and ordered to pay £3 costs. They wero also made tho subjects of prohibition orders. Joseph M'Ghio sued John Rubin for £1 125., as rent in arrears, and also claimed possession of his house. Judgment was given for plaintiff for the full amount, and an ordor was mado compelling tho defendant to quit the premises before September 24. Judgment for plaintiff, by default, was given in the following undefended action: —It. C. Dick v. A. Southee, £4, costs 10s. In respect of a judgment summons, H. Clay was ordered to pay Clout Bros, the sum of £2 15s. beforo September 14.
