CONVICTS AWFUL FATE,

At Richmond, Virginia, eight convicts who had been immured for punishment in a dark coll, were discovered dead, t-ho cause being foul air. The guards admitted that they had ovor-looked the prisoners' condition. The guards have been arrested, and will be charged with criminal negligence.
