CITIZENS' CARNIVAL.

A general meeting' of the Citizens' Carnival Association will be held in the Council Chamber on Thursday evening next, when a report will be submitted by the Special Committee appointed to make nominations.for tho sectional committees in connection, with tho next carnival. Immediately after the general meeting the eight committees will meet for tho purpose of electing a chairman and a secretary, and also a further ■'representative, who, with his Worship tho Mayor (president), Messrs. C. G; Wilson and J. P. Firth (vice-presidents) will constitute the executive committee. The meeting is a public one.
