WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY.
Tho Wellington Presbytery mot at St. John's Church last night, tho Modorator (Rev. A. C. Randerson,. M.A.) presiding. Rov. \Vm. Shirer reported that tho new church at Scatoun had been "opened last Sunday. It was resolved to put on record an expression of gratification at tho progress made by that congregation. Consent was granted to tho Kent Terrace congregation to proceed .with the scheme to secure additional land, and hearty approval of it expressed. Rev. A. 0. W. Standage reported that tho youth of the Churcfh statistics for the Presbytery showed very satisfactory progiass during the past year. There was a decided increase in the number of Bible classes and Christian Endeavour societies, in their membership, and in tho number of young people who had joined the Church. Rev. W. Shirer reported on behalf of tho commission appointed to carry out tho visitation of tho Kelburne congregation. They found that tho' various branches of work aro carried on with efficiency and success. .Special attention is given to the young in tho church service, Sunday schools, and tho various Bible classes. The office-bearers take part in this and in other departments of the church's life with intelligent The secular affairs aro managed with care and success. Tho revenue is steadily increasing, and in spite of heavy financial obligations, coil-, tributions are regularly made to tho missions and other schemes of the Church. The erection of the manse, enlargement of tho vestry, and other improvements about to be effected were indications of the steady progress mado.
