DAMAGING BILLIAHD CLOTH. • At the Hutfc Court yesterday, bewilfully damaging a'billiard-tablo cloth, fore Dr. M'AitJiur, S.M., a cliargo oftho property of George Sykes, valued at £d, was preferred against Ed. Coffey, liobt. l-Jayes, and Sydney George Bowers. Mr. Ayson appeared for the three accused, and entered pleas of guilty. The magistrate fined each accused 205., and ordered each to pay £3 towards the cost of a now oloth. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in tlio following undefended cases:—Commissioner of Taxes v. Win. Jones (representing the Jones family), £5 7s. 2d., costs £1; E. Feist and Co., Ltd., v. J. Tamplin. £11 10s. 3d., costs £1 35.; Geo. Bradley v. Martha M'Gregor, £49 125., costs £2 7s. Od.; same v. C. Wyeth, £1, costs os. 111 the judgment summons easo, Geo. Bradley v. Yiolot Fernandos, a claim for £3 135.., 7d., an order was made that the amount bo paid before September 17.
