SOME SARCASM.
"SEND LAND AGENTS TO NEXT AVAR." , . It was complained at yesterday's Counties' Association Conference that the work under the Valuation of Land Act was not properly carried out, one speaker remarking that a valuer came to his district, had his tea, and without petting out of his gig, put all the land up ,£5 an acre, upon which tho president remarked that if ho had not been provided with tea ho would probably have put the valuation up ,£lO (in acre. Another delegate asserted that the valuation in his district had goiio up .11,(100,000 iu three years, ,ui'l added, "If you could get all tho land agents together, drill them, and send them to tho front at the next war, wo should have no more trouble."
