• GERMANY'S ABSTENTION CRITICISED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Berlin, August 20. The "Frankfort .Gazette". regards the abstention of Germany from talcing part in the San Francisco Exhibition as a mistake. The Government, it says, has boen chiefly influenced by the iron and 'steel industries. However, the claim of the textile and other industries should have received great consideration.
