SUBDIVISION OF LAND.
LOCAL BODIES WANT CONTROL. The City Solicitor lias submitted the following draft to the Hon. A. L. Herdmam for insertion in any Bill to b9 brought ■before the Hou.se, to provide for better powers of control for local bodies over subdivision of land 1 No person shall, in a borough, subdivide any land for salo or for building purposes or for any other purpose similar or otherwise, unless he lias submitted to the.council a- plan of the proposed subdivision, nnd : such subdivision has been consented to before the council in writing under the.seal of the corporation.
No instruments of any kind whatsoever shall be registered either in the Deeds Registry Oflico or the Lands Registry Office if such instrument involves any subdivision for sale or other purposes above specified, unless such subdivision is approved under seal of'the corporation as hereinbefore provided. •
