The arrival of the Australian warships at Cape Town was marked by a round of festivities and a banquet. Mr. Frederick Dewsal, who represented the Union Government,at tho Cape, in the absence of the Ministers, stated in an interview that the English and Australian seamen on board the Australia and Sydney had been treated alike at the festivities. Regarding Navy defence, Mr. Dewsal confined himself to tho observance that eqch .Dominion, inust naval problem in her own'way. , . Tho "Capo Times" remarks that Mr. Dewsal was required to execute his task as host with amazing dexterity, and his eulogy nt the banquet of Australia's naval energy was effectivo as a comment on South Africa's naval lethargy.
