—: fr BANKRUPTCY PETITION. The petition of Charles Pratt, that Hermann Lewis,' of Wellington, should bo adjudged banik'rupt, was mentioned beforo the Supreme Court oil Saturday morning. On behalf of the petitioning creditor, Mr. A. Dunn mado a motion for direction as to son-ice of the petition on tho respondent, whoso whereabouts aro a matter of doubt. His Honour tho Chief Justice (Sir Robei't Stout) heard the motion in Chambers, and directed that copios of v the summons should bo served on tho resroiuJr' ent's wife, and left at his late residence at Lower Hutt. The summons was mado returnable in ten days from tho dato of scrvice. •
