THE CAMEL CORPS DISASTER. By Teteffraph—Frees Association —OopyrigM London, August 14. Replying to questions in the House of Commons as to why the Camel Corps, which was attacked by the Dervishes in Somaliland and badly cut up, was ever ono hundred miles from the coast, contrary to the whole policy of the Government, Mr. Lewis Harcourt (Secretary cf State for the Colonics) stated that it was impossible to explain until ho had received information from Somaliland. The latest dispatches showed the situation to be satisfactory. (Rec. August 15, 9.30 p.m.) London, August 15. Mr. Harcourt haa announced that satisfactory aocounita had- been received from Somaliland, but that it would bo imprudent to publish them, because they concerned the present position of tho force. He deprecated any disenssion upon recent events at the present juncture. •
