Mr. Will Thome, Labour member for West Ham South, has introduced In. the House of Commons a Bill providing that after January 1 next persons holding above fifty acres of uncultivated land shall be guilty of misdeamour, and upon conviction the holder shall be ejected, and the land invested thenoeforth in the Commissioner of Woods and Forests, the ejected persons receiving from the Consolidated Fund a sum equal to five years' produce from the land before his conviction.
