CHANNEL TUNNEL SCHEME.

Tho Channel tunnel scheme which has been prepared for presentation to Parliament, provides for a length of twentyfour miles, at a depth of one hundred feet below the sea bottom. It is proposed that electric trains shall run through the tunnel at a speed of '18 miles nn hour. Tho estimated cost of the schemo is ,£10,000,000.
