MISSING 'POSSUM HUNTER.
NEIGHBOUR CHARGED WITH MUBDEB. By Telegraph—Pxeso Association—Copyright Launceston, August 12. Tho inquest regarding itlie death of William John Mullins, a farmer at Mathinna, who disappeared on Juno 20 last when on a 'possum-hunting expedition, and portions of whoso remains aro supposed to havo been found in the debris of a huge fire, has concluded.
As a result of tho jury's verdict, Daniel Jones, a farmer residing in tho district, lias been charged with miiTder, and his wife, Jano Elizabeth Jones, charged with being an accessory after tho fact.
,(Rec. August 13, 10.5 p.m.) Hobart, August 13. The chief points in the evidence against tho Jones's were the long-standing feud over land and other matters with Mullins; his alleged k-TK>t-marks and horsetracks in tho vicinity of tho fire; his suspicious movements on the day of the murder, and his refusal to assist in the searoh for tho missing man.
