IN DERRYREVOLVERS AND POLICE BATONS. UNIONISTS STONED. By Telegraph—Prees Association—Copyright London, August 12. Nationalists. fit Berry, Ulster, attacked a procession that was. celebrating tho relief of Derry (which successfully held out against tlio troops of Iviug James II in 1689). Tho processionists used revolvers, and the police used their batons on tho Nationalists. Two of tho police wore injured by stones. (llec. August 13, 10.5 p.m.) London, August 13. Thousands of peoplo thronged the Londonderry streets before tho disturbance began. The Nationalists showered stones and bottles, and fired revolvers at tho procession, and also made determined efforts to break the police cordon, which drove them off with a series •of baton charges. Roughs severely beat several strangers in the city while they were rescuing an English visitor who had been, maltreated. The Mayor (Sir W. M'Learn) was stoned, and severely > wounded on. the head.

Tho Nationalists stoned a unionist in Foyle Street, but tho latter Sred his revolver at his assailants, wounding a constable.

Another Unionist kept the crowd at bay with a revolver till 'tho mounted police roscued him, hitting out with tho flats of their swords and injuring several. Both Unionists were arrested.

The mounted police made a final charge at' midnight, and cleared the stroets.
