ARGUES HIS CASE IN COURT.

Judge Murray has dismissed Childley's appeals against his convictions of July 4 for begging alms and for behaving in an offensive manner in the Domain. On the first charge he was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment, and on the second charge was ordered to find a recognisance for his good behaviour for ono year in default, two months' imprisonment.
Tho Judge observed that Chidloy might be doing •what he considered perfectly right for him to do, but which, nevertheii'oti''in : t®e' fitiiM's .tfii.li&s,' fc,e diine. There were certain things that' scientists might discuss amongst themselves, but -which, under the conventions of society, decent people, would not care to talk about.
