TIMARU HARBOUR BILL.

The Timaru Harbour Board Empowering Bill (Mr. J. Craigie), circulated yesterday, is largely a machinery Bill dealing with the financial operations of the Ixiard. It provides that the board's existing statutory power of rating, etc., shall apply to loans raised to repay egistins loans, and that the limitation of 11 per cent, imposed by the Tituaru Harbour Board Loans Act, 1599, shall not apply to such loans or debentures issued for that purpose.
