Hunter OVnipawa) gave liotico in tho House yesterday to ask the Native Minister whether ho will have inquiries made into the report that speculators are negotiating with the Native owners for the purchase of the small blocks of land owned bv them in the Tilcokino district; and whether, if the report is correct,. 110 will take such measures as may be deemed expedient for tho protection of (ho Native owners and in the interest of close settlement.
