VALUE OF TUBERCULIN.

Speaking at the Tuberoulosis Conference, Dr. Woodhead, the eminent pathologist, of Cambridge Univoraitj', referring ,to the value of tuberculin, said that under proper conditions it exerted a favourable influence, but never conferred complete immunity upon man or upon nuimals. Its indiscriminate and unintelligent use was n great danger, for it had equal power far evil as well as for good. ' (llec. August 5, 10.45 p.m.) In formally opening the conference, Mr. Asquith (the Prime Minister) eulogised the considerable work that had been done to check the scourge. Ho had reason to expect greater progress in the futu.ro, due largely to the steady and continuous improvement of sanitation and better dwellings.
