By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. August 2, 0.5 a.m.) Washington, August 1. President Wibon is resisting strong pressure -urging tlmt the United States should recognise President Huerta's Government in Mexico.

The American Ambassador to Mexico li<as specially visited Washington to endeavour to persuade President "Wilton to accord his recognition on tho ground that such action, by tho United States is certain to restore order.

Tho President opposes the recognition because of tho manner in which Huerta succeeded the Madero regime.

In the United States Senate the Democrats will support tha President, who is now formulating his policy with regard to Mexico.
