PEACE CELEBRATIONS.
JOHN BULL AND UNCLE SAM. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrfffht (Sydney "Sun" Special—July 31, G. 55 p.m.) Ottawa, July 30. , A remarkable celebration took place at Fort Erie (situated on the eastern end of Lake Erie, in Canada, about miles from Buffalo, which is in United States territory) in honour of tho Hundred Years' Peace between Canada and tho United State. Thirty-seven business organisations met at the M'Kinley Monument in Buffalo, and marched to Fort Erie, headed by impersonators of "Uncle Sam" carrying the British Union Jack, and of John Bull, carrying the United 1 States Stars and Stripes.
