OF NEW ZEALAND "LIBERALS."
SYDNEY PRESS COMMENT.
"YOKING UP WITH SOCIALISM AND SYNDICALISM."
By Telegraph—Press As6ocir.tion-CopjTieW
Sydney, July 31. Commenting on the "exceptionally interesting by-election" for the Grey seat, the "Daily Telegraph" says:—"New Zealand Liberals are evidently agreeable to q» coalition with Socialism to overthrow tho Government. This augurs a revolu-
tionary change in tho party that Hr. Scddon led so long. Certainly Air. Sed(loii commanded Labour support, but he was always independent of it and above it. Socialism was impotent as a political force in his regime." "Assuming," adds the "Telegraph," "that Sir Joseph Ward is still influential in the Opposition councils, it will bo interesting to observo how ho views tho now scheme of yoking up with Socialism and Syndicalism on the ground that they are Liberals all moving towards one goal."
