BALKAN MINISTERS MEET IN CONFERENCE.
TURKEY AND ADRIANOPLE.

Acland, Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Foreign Office, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, stated that the Powers were considering the Turkish reoccupation of Thrace. Britain did not propose to take separate action, but the Government had warned Turkey not to expect Britain to protect her from the result of her violent action.
Paris, July 30. The paper "Le Matin" lias had an interview with Envor Bey, the well-known Turkish officer. "Turkey," lie said, "will not evacuate AdTianople. Hero we are, and here we remain. Let Europe understand that once for all." (Sydney "Sun" Special.) Calcutta, July 30. Meetings of Moslems adopted resolutions to the effect that they view with the deepest disappointment nrid resentment the attempt by Britain to force the Turks to leave Adrianople. Hindu Nationalists are supporting tho Moslems. FIVE DAYS'. ARMISTICE. THE RUMANIANS' ADVANCE. Bucharest, July 30. At an informal conference, a five days' armistice was agreed upon in principle. (Rec. July 31, 11.40 p.m.) Bucharest, July 31. M. Maioresco, the Rumanian Premier, has been elected to the presidency of tho Peace Conference. After tho' opening speech, M. Venezelos, the Greek Premier, announced that he had accepted the proposal to suspend hostilities" for five days. After the army experts lad been consulted the conference then adjourned.
, Sofia, July 30. The Rumanian advance guard is within twelve miles of Philippopolis, the capital of Eastern Rnmelia. Constantinople, July 31. The appearance of the Russian Biaclc Sea fleet near the entrance to the Bosphorus has caused excitement here. RUMANIA AND RUSSIA. '/ PROBABLE ALLIANCE AT THE ALTAR, (Sydney "Sun" Special.) Paris, July 30. The newspaper "Figaro" states that it is possible that Russo-Rumanian relations will be further strengthened by the probable marriage of Prince Charles (eldest son of the Crown Prince and grandnephew of the King of Rumania) and the Grand Duchess Olga (eldest daughter of the Tsar of Russia).
