HOMEWARD CARGOES.
LLOYD'S UNDERWRITERS INCREASE THE RATES, By- Telarra-Dli—Press Association—OoDyrichu (Rec. July 31, 10.50 p.m.) London, July 31. The "Morning Post" states that Lloyd's underwriters have dccided to raise the New Zealand Homeward cargo rates by 2s. 6d. per cent, except on meat and grain, arid will similarly raise Australian Homeward shipment rates directly an agreement can be signed.
The "Morning Post" comments upon the remarkable fact that meat has been exempted, and adds that it will be interesting to see how far the additional h\lfcrown on Australian cargoes ran he made effective.
