AUSTRAL-NEW ZEALAND RIVALRY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. July 81, 8.30 p.m.) Vancouver, July 31. Mr. Arthur Kidman, a prominent Stock Agent, of Sydney, lias arrived here with the object of developing trade between Vancouver and Australia. In an interview he declared that trade was being strangled, and unless Australia established a basis of reciprocity, and a suitable steamer service, she would mako NewZealand a gift of half a million sterling in trade in foodstuffs alone.
