MARKETING CHEESE.

AN IMPORTANT TARANAKI MOVE, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Hawera, July 28. A meeting of cheese factory representatives in Taranaki was lielcl at Hawera today to consider the matter of concerted action in the marketing of cheese during tho coming season. Eighteen factories were represented. Tho following resolution. was carried unanimously"That this meeting of Taranaki cheese factory companies recommend the cheese factory companies of the Dominion to unite for the purpose of marketing our dairy produce in the Home market, and, failing Dominion action, that Taranaki take the initiative. That some four or five good Home firms bo selected to whom tho New Zealand consignments be sent, and that consignors be represented by five representatives to act in conjunction with ono member from each of the four firms selected, the whole to form a committee to deal with the marketing of our produco to the best advantage." Tho meeting elected a committee of seven 1 to draw up definite proposals on the lines of the resolution, to bo forwarded to the various cheeso factories in the Dominion. It was decided to invito butter factories to join in the scheme.
