RUGBY. TO-DAY'S MATCH WITH MAORIS. This afternoon (says the Rugby Union's weekly note) a spectacular game should be seen in the match between the touring Native team and th» local representatives. The Maoris have just contended a very successful tour in the South Island, where their only defeat was at the hands of Canterbury, and despite a strong local team, they are expected to make a very close game of it. The only change in the local team from that originally selected is that Sullivan, of Molross, takes the placecf Francis, who has been selected to play in the North v. South match at Chnstchurch. The curtain-raiser is a match between the Petono Sixth Class and a team selected from among the other Sixth Class trams in the competition, and tliis should provide a clever exhibition.
