BUILDING SOCIETY FRAUDS.
DIRECTORS SENTENCED. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Sydney "Sun" Special—July 25, 6.10 p.m.)' London, July 25. The directors of Loquell's Building Society at Birmingham have been sentenced to twelve, nine, eight, and six months' imprisonment respectively. Five directors of Loquell's Buildinpf Society wero arrested on charges of having advanced themselves money borrowed from the bank to purchase property, which, however, was not bought, tho money being invested in a system of provision against old age and lost. The society owes ,£ls,ooo—assets nil.
