BOWLS & BOWLERS.
KELBTJKNE CLUB'S MEETING. The annual meeting of the Kelburne Bowling Club was held on Thursday evening. There was a large attendance of members, and Mr. Baldwin presided. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, ho said he regretted that he had to announce that there was a loss on the year's working, and this was entirely attributable to lack of membership. A scheme was submitted by the directors whereby the disposal of the club's present property and the formation of a new green on the Town Belt, if , carried out, would be the means of making the elbu. again financial. After considerable discussion the meeting decided to leave the matter to the directors, to act as they thought fit in the best interests of the club. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. E. S. Baldwin; vice-president, Mr. I\ Meadowcroft; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. A. Marquis (re-elected); director, Mr. J. S. Macarthur (vice Mr. Gannaway, who retired); auditor, Mr. R. N. M'Viily; delegate to the N.8.A., Mr. C. A. Marquis (re-elected); delegates to Wellington Centre, Mr. C. A. Marquis, and Mr. E. S. Baldwin. Mr. F. Meadowcroft has again placed his social hall at the disposal of the club, and fortnightly meetings will be held, tho first of which takes place on Thursday, August 7. Mr. Meadowcroft was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his kindness.
