BOXING.
MOKE OVERTURES TO SYDNEY. AND ALSO TO SUMMERS. A nieetin? of the committee of the Wellington Boxing' Association was presided over by Mr. H. M'Viily last evening. A lethr was received from the Timam Association asking what percentage of the proceeds the Wellington Association would require for permittiug "Hock" Keys to box at Timaru. It was deckled to reply that no percentage fee would bs charged. It was resolved that the association's representative in Sydney (Mr. J. Burr) bo communicated with, with a view to arranging a match for "Boy" jjriscoll in Wellington. It was further decided to ask Mr. Barr if ho could find a man in Sydney who would bo prepared to meet Keys, Hagerty,. or Summers in Wellington. Mr. «T. K Staples was appointed manager of the Wellington representatives which are to attend tha Kew Zealand championship meeting at Timaru on July 30 and 31. Inquiries are to be made concerning a match for Summers, who is at present in Auckland, at Wellington. Some discussion ensuod over the question of a return match between Keys and Hagerty, and it was proposed that these two be approached so that a meeting could be arranged for August 20.
