The following eale was reported :—Union Steam, £2 Js. 3d. MURRAY CREEK G.M. COMPANY. The mine manager of tho Murray Creek Gold-mining Company, writing under date July 20, reports as follows"There is no change to repoc-Cin the miDC. I have had the men working on wages in No. 2 level, doing a little repairing and getting in more air by way of a. water-blast, and cutting a chamber in tho footwall preparatory to commencing the rise. This •.will he completed and ready to start conr tract-rising about Tuesday next- No. 3 level: A purvey was made early in the week, and tho surveyor estimated then that 80ft. required to he driven, to get under the Inslewood winze, and 90ft. to get under the Phoenix winze. The drivo towards the Phoenix is going through very nice country, and for the last Bft. to 10ft. tho drive lias been in reef formation.'
