THE MELBOURNE CAFE SCANDALS.
FREE SUPPERS FOR CONSTABLES. By Telegraph—Press Association- -Copyright Melbourne, July 17. In connection with recent raids on certain Melbourne cafes, it was alleged that certain constables who were on duty entered the premises to secure free suppers. The Tesult of an inquiry is that three constables have been fined .£3 each, and two others £1 10s. A black mark has also been placed on their record sheets.
