T THOMAS HAECOUET AMBROSE lj .VALINTINE,, Chief Health Officer under "The Public Health Act. 1905," in pursuance and acting under tho authority of His Excellency tho Governor, do hereby, until further notice, forbid any person or company in the North Island of New Zealand carrying passengers for hire in any public conveyance by sea or land, plying in any port or between, any ports of the said Island, to allow any Maoris or Half-caste Maori to enter or travel upon or in any such conveyance unless such Maori or Half-caste produces a certificate under the hand of an officer of the Public Health Department or under the hand of a Public Health Vaccinator authorising such Maori or Halfcasto Maori to travel in the said Island. TVTOTIOE is hereby given that at a 1' Special Meeting of the Miramar Borough Council, held at tho Council Chambers, King's Chambers, Wellington, on the 7th day of July, 1913, it was reeolved :— In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908," and any Acts amending the saino respectively, and all other Acts, powers, or authorities, if any vested in it, or in any wise enabling it in that behalf, the Miramar Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows: — "That for tho purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a Special Loan of Threo thousand pounds (.73000), authorised to bo raised by the Miramar Borough Council, under the above-men-tioned Acts, for tho purpose of extension of tho Sewerage Scheme now in tho course of construction, the said Miramar Borough Council hereby makes and levies a Special Eato of One-twelfth of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value cm the basis of the Unimproved- Value of all rateablo property within tlio said Borough, comprising the whole of tho said Borough of Miramar, and that such Special Rate shall bo annually recurring during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on thq First day of Juno and tho First day of December in each year and every year during the currency of such' loan, being a period of Twenty-six (2G) years, computed from the First day of December, 1912, or until the loan is fully paid off." Tho above resolution will bo submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of tho Council, to be held on THURSDAY, the 14th day of AUGUST, 1913, at 7.30 p.m., at the Town Hall, Miramar.
