A batch of lads, including a dispatch' clork and several messengers from tho Westport Post Office, were before the Magistrate yesterday, charged with various thefts in town, and tho dispatch clerk with thefts of goods from the Post Offioe. Tho last-named was convicted and discharged on three informations, and convicted and sentenced to sis months' reformative treatment on two charges. One messenger was convicted on several charges, including damaging property, and ordered to como up for sentence when called on, and on one charge of theft was sentenced to six strokes with tho birch.
