It was iiuD true, ho said, that anti-militni-ists had threatened damage to tlio King Edward Barracks, Ho Htated that lie had threatened to march on liipa Island at the head of 500 men if the "boys" detained tlicro were not released, and in this connection he had ruccived a. telegram from tlio Minister for Defence expressing tlio liopo that he would do nothing of tlio sort. Homo stated that he had visited Ripa Island last Wednesday, and had found that the youths there were treated and fed well enough. He tlliought that they had nothing much to complain of bayond tho fact that they, were in detention. Ho remarked that tho food was good and wholesome, and better than ho got' himself sometimes.
