INDRABARAH INQUIRY.

SHIP TO BE SENT SOUTH. A Magisterial inquiry into tho circumstances surrounding the stranding of B.s. Indrabarah will bo held at the Wellington Courthouse, 'at 7 p.m. to-morrow. Captain W. J. Reed, of Auckland, and Captain it. J. Gillespie, of Wellington, liavo been appointed nautical assessors. Tho Indrabarah still constitutes an attraction for the public, and hundreds of people .visited her at tho King's Wharf yesterday. It is likely that tho steamer will bo sent on to l'ort Chalmers for docking and repair, but tho date of ly>r departure from Wellington has not yet been fixed.

Apparently the question of refloating the ship has been ono in which speculators of the sporting kind have Ijeen more or less interested. It is stated that heavy odds were laid against tho vessel being got off tho Rangitikei Beach, and the bait was readily swallowed by "sports." Howover this may be, it seems to bo truo that, when the Indrabarah wos seen steaming up Wellington Harbour on Monday morning, a number of new hats changcd hands. Representatives of tho Tysor Line applied to tho Harbour Board yesterday for permission to berth tho vessel alongside the Star of India. Tho intention was to avoid, as far as possible, the cost of transhipping the Indrnbarah's frozen meat and other cargo. The neccssary permission was not granted, however, the Harbour Board officials considering that thero was a:i element of danger in berthing two ships of tho size of tho Star of India and Indrabarah alongside each other in this port. In consequence of this, tho Tyscr Line have communicated with the harbour officials at Tort Chalmers to ascertain whether the vessels can bo berthed alongside each other there.
