FRENCH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Paris, July 6. Lord Charles Hope has won the French amateur golf championship, defeating Lassen at tho 37th hole, after a tic. . The third monthly medal competition for the Miramar Ladies' Golf Club silver button was played at Miranar yesterday afternoon. Tho results were as under:— Miss Focke, 11G minus 37, 79 ; Miss Gray, !)8 minus 13, 85; Miss M. Quellen, 115 minus 30, 85.
