The following is 'Riven as a remedy for cabbage aphis by tho Orchards and Gardens Division of the Department of Agriculture Spray with n tobacco-ivash in tho following proportions: lib. strong tobacco or 31b. waste tobacco, 31b. soft-soap, 20 gallons water. If cabbages are young uso about twice, as much water as that given in above formula, if necessary gradually increasing th« strength of tho wish as the season advances and the growth hardens. Another good spray for tho control of aphis is one cake of sunlight soap boiled in 3 gallons of water, and applied with a fine spray, core being taken to seo that the 'undersides of the leaves are covered with the fluid.
