The bulk of the offering was good to prime. The muge of prices was:— Prime wethers, £1 Is. 6d. to £1 Bs. 6(1.; lighter, 17*. to £1 Is.; prime owes, 19s. to £l 6s. 6d.; medium. 16s. to 1&«. 6d.; a god and light, lie, to 15s. 6d.; merino wethers, 16s. 3d. to £1 Cti. Bd. There was a good entry of fat cattle, chiefly of useful and prime sorts. An improvement in prices was shown to the extent of about Is. per 1001b., the range being from £1- 2s. 6d. to £l Us. 6d. per lfiClh. Steers ran from £7 17s. 6d. to £11 5a up to £16 15e.; heifers, £6 to £10 55.; cows, £5 ss. to £11. A fair entry of vealers came forward, and price* ranged from extra, £4; good sorts, £3 fo.;' down to Bs. for iuferior animals. There was a. poor entry of store cattle. Fifteen and ciglitecn-month sorts made £2 £s. and £2 &?.; two-year heifers, £3 155.; three-year steers, v£s 12a. 6d.; , and dry cows, £1 ICs. to £3 10s. Dairy cows mado £4 10s. Sd. to £12 ss. There was a moderate entry of fat pigs, but tney were in good demand. Cunedin, June 25. At the Burnsido market to-d;iy 2C5 fat cattle wore yarded, only ci small number of which ivcre really iirime, the hulk being of medium to good riuality. There was a strong demand, and prices for prime <in:ility allowed an advance of from ss. to 10s. per head, v:hile other descriptions were firm -at last woclt's rates. Primo bullocks. £13 10.-. to .£ls 2s. 6d.; medium, £11 to .£l2 10s.; light, £B'los. to £10; prime heavy-weight heifers and cows, £9 lCt). to .£ll lEi-:.; medium, £7 15s. to £9; light, £5 to £6 15e. The fat sheep yarding to-day was on a more moderate scale, only 3050 being penned. The greater number were wethers of medium to pood quality, l'rime licavy- ■ weights were in rather short supply, aiid they sold at an advance of Is. to 'is. 6d. per head. l'rime wethers, suitable for freezing, were well competed for, and on the average about 6d. per head higher, while all other clashes were firm at last week's rates. Heavy wethers, £1 6s. to £1 Bs.; prime, £t 2s. 6d. to £1 4s. fid.; mediumweight, £1 to £1 Is. 6d.; light, 17s. to 18s. 6d.; extra, heavy owes, £1 6s. to £1 9e. 6d.; heavy, £1 to £1 Is. 6(1.; medium, 1f,5. to IBs. 6d.; light, lis. to 143. Pat lambs; The pens were filled, the entry totalling 3820, a large number of which were extra prime. There was a steady demand throughout.the sale, and although the prices were perhaps not ouite so firm as last week those obtained were highly satisfactory. In the case of light .and inferior lambs, the demand was not so strong, and prices showed a decline on last week's rates. Extra, heavy, £1 2& 6d. to £1 4s. 9d.; good, IBs. 6d. to £1; medium, 16s._ to 17s. 6d.; light, lis. to 15s. Pigs; There was a moderate entry of stores and small sorta, but an exceptionally meagre supply of fat pigs. Porkers and baconers were in short supply, and sold under keen competition at priccs that were highly satisfactory to vendors. Except for fair-sized stores and extra, good Rips, prices in this section wore somewhat below laio Quotations.
