LYALL BAY BOWLS CLUB.

I , * The first annual meeting of the Lyall Bay Bowling and Tennis Club was held last night" in the Maranui Church Hall. Mr. J. R. Stansell presided. The report of the year (already published) was adopted, the president remarking that, it was indeed a matter of congratulation that the first year of the club's history has ended so successfully. The election of officers resulted as follows Messrs. J. A. Stansell, president; W. H. Morrah, hon. secretary; J. C. Tonka, lion, treasurer; T. J. Robinson, hon, auditor; committee, Messrs. I{. M'lCenzie, G. E. Smith, J. Fairway, and C. Foster., Mr. Morrah's motion, that by-law No. 7 be amended by substituting the words "sole selector'' for the words "match committee" was carried on a show of hands. Separate committees were elected for the croquet and entertainment brapches of the club.
