Mr. Doono was in excellent voice, and gavo capital renderings of "Kate O'Donoghue," "Doohc's .Rose Song," and "The Tunes We Love to Hear on Paddy's Day." Tho pieco will 1)0 staged until Thursday next, and on Friday and Saturday nights "The Parish Priest" will bo produced. The box plan for the remaining nights of the season is at tho Dresden. THE DANDIES. The Concert Chamber of the Town Hall was well filled last evening, when Mr. Ed. Branscombo's new English Coniody Costume Company, "The Dandies (Pink)" appeared. Tho Dandies are as artistic as they are original, and they provide a Tealiy excellent entertainment. The management announce that on Saturday night the company will not appear in the Concert Chamber, as they are billed to show at the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt. On Monday next they will return to the Concert Chamber, and will appear nightly without interruption until July 3. THE MUSICAL AVOLOS. The reigning attraction at the Theatre Royal are thp Musical Avolos, a quartet of skilled xylophonists, who, by tho exercise of very "delicate touch, and expressive modulation of their forces, almost succeed in getting the effect of a grand piano. Tho Avolos discreetly mil popular music such as "In the Shadows" and "My Hero" (from "Tho Chocolate Soldier"), with such music as a fantasia on Rossini s opera "William Tell." The turn is one of the best of its kind ever heard in "Wellington, and the playing i 9 marked by such unanimity and precision and the music by such lino shades in harmony that proclaims them musicians in a broader sense than can ordinarily be applied to such performances on tho vaudeville stage. The Quealcys, Lawrence and Carmen, Merlyn, Frank Hawthorn, the Esma Duo, and tho Crimson Ramblers make up a combination of artists, well worth seeing. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The feature picture of the current programme at His Majesty's Theatre is a dramatic study, entitled "Theodora," with the renowned actress, Mile. Sahary Djeli, in the title role. The latest edition of the Patho Gazette depicts many interesting phases of recent happenings, and "Polly at the Ranch." is the titlo of a good comedy. The programme will bo repeated tc-night. THE ICING'S THEATRE. "The Making of the Panama Canal" is the titlo of the star film at present showing at the King's Theatre. The picture. which lias already been shown locally, retains its interest, and is attracting patrons to Hie King's. The supportins items are numerous and well varied, and, combined! with, tho feature picture, go to make up an attractive programme. THE EMPRESS THEATRE, 'if any of the public desire a sensation strange' to them, they will find it in a picture at the Empress Theatre entitled "A Miracle of Speed," which about represents the limit in motor speed spectacles. It is a fine picture of the recently-run 500-mile international automobile race on tho famous Indianapolis track. Interest is added to the picture by the presence of Mr. Rupert Jeffkins, whoso machino broke down when he was seventeen miles in tho lead .with only three miles to go. Other dramatic and scenic views are included in the programme. ' . THE BUTTERFLIES. The seven artists who form tho company of "Tho Butterflies" are entertainers of considerable merit. The company, which opened their Dominion • tour inWellington three months ago, are noiv finishing a thorough tour of New Zealand, and will pay a return visit of nine nights to the city, opening at the Opera House on Monday evening next. Since commencing its tour tho company has visited every city of importance, and in each place, it is stated, tho members of the company established themselves as warm favourites. * In Auckland a season of seven weeks was played to excellent business throughout. The blending of the programme with cultured, refined music and singing, and concerted work in tho burlesque sketches and potted plays, evidently suits the tastes of New Zealand audiences. Uight throughout the visit the clever burlesque by Messrs. Waller, Dennett, and Wylie-Wntson, entitled "The Blue Hungarian Band," has been included in every programme, the apparently endless variations making it an evergreen item. Mr. E. W. Dennett, the solo .pianist of the party,' has also won much appreciation for his fine performances on tn© pianoforte. The box plan will be opened at tho Dresden this morning.

A meeting of flip Concert Committee of the Wellington Pipe Band and Dancers' Association was held last night. Mr. Crawford presided. Owing to the absence of the secretary (Mr. Shaw), the programme for the next concert was not settled definitely, but will be published later. It was decided to hold the concert on July 16, the Opera House having been engaged for that night. The Wellington Gas Company's String Band has been selected for the orchestra.
