A meeting of the Management Committee of tho Wellington Hockey Association was held last evening. Mr. C. N. Cathio Pr iu cmfiiection with the Shield matches ifc has been found necessary to niter the fixtures for certain games. The \\ e lington Association holds the Shield and tho first team which it lias to play is Southland. It was originally intended that tho first match should take place on Karori Park on June 28, but it appears that July 26 is a more suitable date for Southland. Meanwhile the Hawke's Bay Association had agreed to Wellington's suggestion to plav on July 26. It was decided lost night to plav Southland on July 26, and to post- ! pone the match with Hawke's Bay until August 9. ' Otago and Auckland AssociaI tions are both sending teams, but so far the dates for their matches have not been fixed.
