At the last meeting of the New Zealand Boxing: Council a letter was received from the Queensland Association in respect to the status of League footballers. The council expressed the opinion that football was a pastime, and not an athletic exercise, onrl if a League player signed a declaration that ho had not received payment ho would bo deemed to bo an amateur. _ It was decided to bring under the liotico of the Northern Association reports that it is contemplating an Arrangement with Mr. 11.
