FEIDING ITEMS.

A largo, number of followers and. onlookers met at Mr. Twigg s, Feilding, for a run with the hounds. For some reason or other the hounds did not arm e, and after a long wait, the party decided to make tho best of it, and have a run without them. Some of tlw country traversed was rather difficult, sons of the jumps accounting for several spills, .iter the run, everybody was 'hospitably provided with afternoon tea by llr. Iwigg. At the A. and P. Association Committee meeting on Friday evening, President Pcrrett took advantage of the opportunity to extend the best wishes of the association to three ex-presidents (Jlessrs.Jl. Burrell, H. Booth, and A. Campbell), Who left on Saturday on a trip to Australia and the Islands. . At tho first meeting of the Kimbolton Chamber of Commerce the election ot oificers resulted as follows :-President, Mr. E. C. Haythorne; vice-presidents .Messrs. J. S. Parsons, W. Hansen, W. Mitchell, G. Beard, and H. Fowler; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. F. Fitzgerald; executive committee, tho officers and Messrs. J C. Murray, F. Krull, E. Levien, L. J. Vcrrv, and R. Richardson. _ The Borough Council on Thursday night passed the estimates, which leave, the rates tho same as during the past year. Mayor Onglcy and his council came to a deadlock on the Mayor s motion that the office staff bo given notice, as in his Worship's opinion tho borough is overstaffed. The following officers were elected to the Apiti Public Library Committee at tho annual meeting on Thursday night:Mr Morris, president; Mr. Bennett, trcapurer; Mr. L. F. Vail, secretary; Mrs. Cumraerficld, Messrs. R. Pratt, hiliott, Chelburg, and W. Guy.
