James Allien, Minister for Defence, replied that ho was inquiring into the question and seriously hoped that the suggested proceiedings would not bo carried out. , However, the president and vice-presi-dent of the union subsequently stated that the treasurer had acted on his own initiative, and they emphatically repudiated the threat.
