RIOT ON ROTO ROA.
CONSTABLES CALLED IN. (By' Telegraph—Prena Association.) Auckland, Juno 14. In the absence of tho Salvation Army officer in charge at tho Inebriates' Home at Roto Roa Island, a number of the inmates got out of hand on Thursday night and caused a disorderly scene, a number of windows wero smashed, and telephone connection with tho main land cut. Later, when the officers returned, several of the inmates rofusod to work. Tho managersapplied for police assistance in preserving order, and two constables proceeded to the island last night.
