EKETAHUNA.
At tho first general meeting of tho recently-formed Eketahuna Kate-payers' Association, held in the Oddfellows' Hall on Tuesday evening, states tho "Express," there wcro present: Messrs. Jos. Smith (chairman), Worncy (secretary), M'Garry (treasurer), Harrison (vice-president), J. Henderson, P. Ross, M. Kellihor, — Olsen, "Russian Charlie," P. Petersen, ".Too" Anderson, P. Ryan, and two nonratepayers. Tho proceedings were at times rather stormy, and before tho conclusion a member, Mr. Harrison, tendered his resignation, which was accepted. Ho alleged that the secretary, Mr. Dorney, had misrepresented him. At the commencement of tho proceedings Mr. Dorney made the announcement that owing to differences with the local paper, tho "Express," the association had decided to start another paper in their own interests. The paper would be called tho "Boycott."
